The Clinton County Historical Society will host a Civil War Living History event on May 6 & 7, 2017 to kick off the 50th Anniversary Celebration.
The Turner Brigade, a reenactment organization that portrays infantry, artillery, and engineering units of Missouri Union volunteers and civilians of the Civil War period will be on hand with displays, exhibits, and demonstrations of the soldier’s life during the War Between the States.

In addition, other local Civil War history buffs will be present to show off equipment, artifacts, and share their Civil War knowledge with visitors. Numerous other activities, including historical figure impersonators, are in the planning stage and additional information will be made available in upcoming weeks. The location of the event will be the grassy area adjacent to the Mariners Village Resort, near the Dam West Recreational Area, and adequate parking will be available.

Mark your calendar and check back in the near future for more details on this fun filled and exciting experience.
